July 11 2008 African American Festival Kick-off Kickoff will be Friday July with a prayer-breakfast at Mt. Zion Church at 8 am. Festival will begin Saturday July 12 with a parade at 10 am. Route TBA. Festival hours are Sat 12 pm - 10 pm, Sunday from 11 am - 7 pm.

August 9 Monclova Homecoming Anthony Wayne Democrats organizing a parade with line up at 9 am, parade at 10 am in Monclova. After parade will be mixing with area citizens from 3 - 5 pm.
August 14 Celebrate Ron Rothenbuhler's Birthday Sponsored by the Oregon Democratic Club held on Thursday from 4 pm til 7 pm at Macomber Lodge located in Pearson Metro Park. Donation is $10 per person or sponsorships available for $50, $100 or $200.
August 15 & 16 Maumee Summer Street Fair Taste of Maumee on Friday, Parade Saturday morning. The Maumee Democratic Club will be sponsoring a booth on Saturday.
